A small, slick-skinned lizard that can freely emit flames.

Ability: Spark Stock - If a u appears in Salamander's Hand, you may Hold it. If Salamander is alone in battle, it may Hold up to 1 u at a time.
Skill: Piercing Flame (uu) - Deal 1 u to one monster,  and 1/2 of the other u to another monster, regardless of those monsters' active Bases.

Lil' Ghoul
A plucky little spirit that enjoys teasing its opponents.
Value: 135 GP

Ability: Transparency - Ignore any damage of 5 or less.
Skill: Taunt (<3^) - In the next turn, direct all attacks to Lil' Ghoul. These attacks do -1 (<3 2-9) to -2 (<3 10-A) less damage.

Amber Widow
This translucent, orange spider spins webs of gossamer amber.

Ability: Crystallize - Once during your enemies' turn, you may prevent one attack card from entering the discard pile. On Amber Widow's turn, place this card in its hand. (Its hand may not, however, exceed its maximum capacity.)
Skill: Amber Cell (^z) - Choose 1 monster. That monster is paralyzed for 2 (z2-9) to 3 (z10-A) turns. If you defeat this monster while in this state, you may Hold 1 card (Base or damage) from it before discarding everything else.
Skill Classes: Herbalist, Hunter*
* - If you teach Amber Widow a Trap-based Hunter skill, then you also grant it the ability to lay traps.

Silvery Owl
This owl can predict and even alter flux with its piercing eyes.

Ability: Foresight - At any time during you or Silvery Owl's turn, you may peek at the top card of the deck.
Skill: Lunar Influence (<3<3z) - Draw five cards. Rearrange them in any order, then return them to the top.

A filthy rodent with vile, yellow teeth.

Ability: Scrounge - On Plague Rat's turn, draw from any position in the deck.
Skill: Black Bite (zzu) - Deals 1 z, regardless of that monster's active Base. For 2 (2-9) to 3 (10-A) turns, that monster receives 1 damage per turn.

Bird-Man Monk
Part avian, part humanoid, this lithe warrior strikes swiftly with its clawed talons.

Ability: Counter Kick - If Bird-Man Monk receives damage of 5 or less, deal half the damage to the attacker.
Skill: Double Kick (<3<3<3) - Deal 1 <3 to one monster. If that monster attacks you in the next turn, deal another <3 to that monster.

Sylvan Wolf
A tenacious fighter, dedicated to protecting its ancestral forest home.

Ability: Primal Prowess - Attacks with z always hit.  
Skill: Lupine Fury (zz^) - Attack with 1 z and 1/2 of the other z, regardless of the enemy's base. If the total damage is odd, this attack is focused on one monster; if it is even, then the damage is split between two monsters. (Of course, if there is only one monster on the field, the attack is entirely focused on that monster.)
Skill Classes: Soldier, Hunter*

Abalone Turtle
This turtle's prismatic shell can shift colors to deflect specific forms of flux.
Value: 165 GP

Ability: Prism Shield - Before your turn starts, choose 1 element. Abalone Turtle receives 1/2 less damage from that element. You may change this element whenever you are about to begin another turn.
Skill: Withdrawal Period (^^^) - Choose 1 element. For 3 turns, Abalone Turtle receives 1/2 damage from all other elements, and no damage from the element of your choice. However, Abalone Turtle cannot attack during this period. During this period, before your turn, you may choose to pick up Abalone Turtle and receive the same benefits for 1 turn; however, you cannot do anything else on that turn.
